Spotted Flycatcher (Muscicapa striata)

In the UK this bird has declined in numbers in recent years. It is a summer visitor, often seen in parks and sometimes gardens. Its upright posture is distinctive, as is its habit of dashing after airborne insects and returning to the same perch.
