Northern Mockingbird (Mimus polyglottus)

Whilst relatively plain in plumage it makes up for this in song. It has a varied song of its own but also immitates other birds, repeating each phrase several times. It even mimics squeaky gates, dogs and pianos. It inhabits thickets, woodland edges, suburbs and towns.
