Black-backed Gull (Larus fuscus)
Of
similar size to the Herring Gull but with a near black back
in the adult (juveniles are grey backed). It is only likely
to be confused with the Greater Black-backed Gull but this
is much larger and has pink legs. It breeds in colonies
around coasts and lake sides.
