The
larger cousin of the familiar Blue Tit, this species is
also a regular visitor to gardens and parks in the UK. It
is easily identified by its yellow belly and central black
stripe. Its song is mainly a loud see-saw, that sounds like
a rusty saw and is often described as 'tea cher tee cher',
but it can be variable. It breeds in woodlands though readily
uses nestboxes, air vents and even letterboxes.
