Gray Catbird (Dumetella carolinensis)

Plain grey (spelt gray in America) with a black cap, it often stays hidden in thick vegetation. It gets its name from the soft 'mewing' call it makes, often the first sign of its presence. It is a good mimic of other bird calls.
