Saw-shell Turtle - Elseya latisternum

A common native of north-east Australia, the Saw-shell is found in lakes and creeks. Like most turtles it is an opportunistic feeder, eating carrion and small invertebrates but also fruits and seeds falling into the water. It is named due to the toothed edge to its shell.
