Indo-Pacific Bottlenose Dolphin - Tursiops aduncus

Recently split into two species, the Bottlenose dolphin is the most common and most widely distributed in all warm and temperate seas. It is very social, usually found in pods of around 12 animals but can congregate in hundreds. They feed mainly on fish and have developed a number of clever techniques for herding fish together to ease capture.
