Sulphur-crested Cockatoo - Cacatua galerita

This is the most numerous and widespread of Australia's cockatoos. They eat seeds and fruit and can be very destructive in cereal fields where flocks can reach thousands. They are intelligent and curious and adapted well to humans living in many urban areas. Males can be distinguished by their black eye, whereas females have red/brown eyes.
