Macleay's Honeyeater - Xanthotis macleayanus

This species is endemic to tropical and sub-tropical Queensland. It is a distinctive bird with its speckled plumage and black cap. It eats more insects and spiders than nectar but is nevertheless an important pollinator in the forest.
